30 july 2013: Day One, They Won!

What a harvest! On our way to nowhere we spread our seeds of happiness but there was no need to wait for them to grow. Other, beautiful, fulgrown flowers came on our way. Non stop!

An engaged couple brought us to a gasstation, where a smiley Limburger, working in a flower company, took us along in his caddy-car. Nadja and Marieke experienced half an hour of complete darkness in the back!

At the next stop we met a fellow hitchhiker; Bouke, director of dreamyourworld (www.dreamyourworld.nl). It's crazy, goosebumb-crazy, smile too wide until you sigh at the beauty of synchronicity-crazy, how many things we have in common and how well we go along. Since we met, we are inseperatable. Can you imagine: four world-defrosting, hitchhikers, living their dreams, meeting the most amazing people and situations. Picture:

A ride from a couple in a mintgreen hippy van (which we left with a garland of hearts and (erasable but) beautiful drawings on the window).

A ride from a happily married older couple which secret was: 'Ge moe beseffen dat 't gras in uw wei ook schoon is!'. They brought us to Brussels, where we danced in the street and gave away an inflated guitar concert, together with a Romanian musician.

Bouke invited us to some delicious Indian food (ofcourse we thanked the cook with one of our winner-medals) and at our table we met a young and muscly Kiwi with stars in his eyes. With him we laughed until our jaws ached and we wonder how many girls he attracted with the text on the heartshaped balloon we gave him:' Not only musles, also lots of candy inside!'.

But the best was yet to come! We took a metro to Dorenbosch, a region, rich of castles, were we tried to find a place for the night. Here, we were welcomed to the castly house of our a sweet lady, who first thougth we were strange girls, she didnt know asking her to sleep at her house, but soon we called her our new 'Belgium Granny'. We went to sleep after our new Oma kissed us goodnight and woke up with her homemade marmelade. This morning she waved us goodbye and we all felt a little melancholic, leaving this angel, our sweet granny, behind. But apart from this, we mostly felt in love with life, in touch with adventure and thankfull to our toes!

To be continued.....!
